“Not really the restaurant’s fault but… once I was eating dinner with a friend and she kept complaining about how her left shoe felt funny. She finally took it off and a fucking bat flew out. She walked all the way to the restaurant with a bat in her shoe…! Luckily this was during warmer weather so the front door of the restaurant was open, so the bat didn’t get stuck inside. Even weirder is my friend, who is an MFA student in creative writing, had workshopped a story where a character finds a mouse in her shoe.” -kdvn
